Diana Jaewon Sim has recently graduated with a Master's in Fine Arts and Advanced Certificate in Art Education at Pratt Institute. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at School of Visual Arts. As a practicing artist and art educator, she is constantly thinking, learning and reflecting about her experience working with children and how these two roles are interchangeably connected. In her daily basis, Diana finds interest in the ordinary things, which she calls beautiful things. She likes to stay in quiet places or be aware of ambient sounds because it brings her stillness and inner peace. When she is creating, it is important that she enjoys the process and allows room for play. The kind of space she chooses to occupy and work can have a great impact in the way she thinks and feels. She continues to work with materials that keep her interested. Her works are glimpses of her struggles that became the face of restoration, healing, and peace.
